Dr Anthony Summers has been qualified as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years. Since 2000 he has also held endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner, both in the United Kingdom and Australia. Anthony has worked in many different emergency departments both in the United Kingdom and Australia. As a Nurse Practitioner he has specialised in minor injuries and ailments, orthopaedics, gynaecology and image interpretation. More recently he has been working in the elderly care area.

Prior to starting at UniSC, Anthony commenced his academic career as a Lecturer in Nursing with the University of Canberra and completed his Professional Doctorate Nurse Practitioner in 2019.
